Had to change over my phone tariff today, saving myself £15/month so that's not too shabby!

Also, got me these sexy sunglasses from River Island! I have been scouring places online and offline, UK & Japan for some nice sunnies in this shape; these fit the bill perfectly. They're lightweight, dark tinted and have a cute quilted pattern on the sides. (and were cheap!) So I will take these with me when I go to Tokyo again in summer. I think I will also work them into my coordinate on Saturday at Hyper Japan - if anyone else is going I will see you there~<3

Also I "invented" a new face.... It's called "I've had way too much Botox/Juvaderm and I'm trying to make Duckface". Hope you enjoywwww.

~Winter Lyme Regis Holiday~

I know that Alex has already posted his entry but I just wanted to cover it a bit and pop in a recommendation for the apartment we stayed in.

When we looked at the apartments and at this particular one's specs, it seemed homely, but we were worried that we had to take the Macbook and attempt to rent a dongle for the internet etc.

It stated that it just had a VHS Player for entertainment, so we were really

Excited and surprised that when we arrived, it had TWO big LCD TVs with full Cable!!, a DVD & BluRay player,
And free internet!! Also the kitchen was pre-stocked with Tea & Coffee etc and cooking basics

During our trip we went to find fossils along the beach, which was a really nice adventure

We also visited the Lyme Regis museum and an awesome Tea room which were both
Really interesting and lovely.

I cooked a few times during our stay, which was nice to do – like
My FIRST EVER Xmas dinner. We were a bit stumped on what to cook
As we are both Pesketarians; even though Lyme Regis is famous for it’s fish,
The Fish Mongers were closed around then.
So I made several dishes of Chilli & Garlic Prawns, Quorn bits in a Parsley Sauce,
Steamed & Honey-roasted veggies… lol oh and uh.. loads of rice…

The shops were decorated rather epically over the Holiday period.
Freaking fell in love with the Xmas Raptor!!

And all the stuff to do with Dinosaurs everywhere.

Speaking of Alex, he surprised me really nicely this weekend when I went to his house after work on Friday. As we live roughly 2 hours from each other, we try to make each weekend spent special and worth while. (d'aw...bbllaaurughh ;D)
When I came into his room - there was a gigantic bunch of Freedom & Black Baccara roses with Pink Lillies & little blooms!!! |SRTO|IRTPO|SR (Can't you tell I love flowers?!) and lovely coloured tea lights dotted around~ *sigh*

Then for the weekend we ate junk food and watched a butt-tonne of films!
He also took me to Zizzi's on Saturday night for a lovely dinner between us two, but he only took pictures! ^^;

Weekend in London (seeing Wicked & New Year GETS)

!~Hey Readers~!

I have to apologise for not posting much recently!

I have been planning things and working as much as possible ^^;

Though On Sunday just gone, I travelled up to London to see

two of my best friends, Sam & Steph (They're twins! <3)

We dropped our bags off at the Travelodge we were staying at and went out to do a little bit of shopping and catch the end of Chinese New Year. But we forgot it was 5pm, and that England sucks for Sunday opening times ;__;

So we went to 'EAT.' and got some tea.

I had a Matcha latte <3

We also decided to take pictures as cats...

After this we were hungry so we had dinner at Bella Italia and went home to plan the next day...

WHERE WE WERE GOING TO SEE WICKED!!!!

So we woke up at 7am, got ready for 8am and set out the door for Victoria.

(We were staying in the West End)

it was FUCKING COLD. D8 (Roughly -2c)

So we stood outside the Box Office of the 'Apollo Victoria' theatre with our morning lattes until it opened for the chance of getting front row. The funny thing was that we were the only non-Korean people in the queue.... it was really strange...but fine none the less - we're all mad.

It paid off though - at 10:03am we managed to buy.....

(for only £27.50 each too!! BARGAIN)

As you may have noticed above - we went somewhere warm for a well-deserved breakfast.

'The Diner' in Soho, one of our favourite places to eat.

I had Blueberry pancakes with extra maple syrup while Sam & Steph had Banana pancakes.

We were so happy to have these LOL.

After some shopping in Picadilly Circus & Oxford Street~ I managed to pick up February's Egg and a new shampoo from L'occitane.

It came with a "free" JSG collab pouch!

IT FITS EVERYTHING OMG.

I tried this, this morning and it's not that bad at all! Smells like pulped plants but it makes my hair super clean and bouncy. :)

...That evening...

The doors just had opened at the Apollo and we made our way inside.

I found a secret smiley face which amused me!

Also everything was green! Really cool~<3

I took some photos of the stage when the orchestra were setting up.

These are both the sides/wings of the stage

And here is the Dragon Clock at the top with the call curtain being the map of Oz.

It was an absolutely STUNNING show, and even though we saw the standby actress as Elphaba instead of Rachel Tucker, my god she was extremely professional in her singing and acting and astounded us three and I think the rest of the audience.

If you have never seen Wicked - I highly recommend it. Mostly a Comedy, with Romance and Sadness/Angst in there too. You'll never want to watch Wizard of Oz again lol.

My Readers views: Gyaru Anket Answers!!

Evening once again everyone!

So for one week, I conducted an "Anket" - A survey, if you will.

This was to see what Western Gyaru (Or well, at least my readers) were more geared towards within the Fashion and the Lifestyle of Gyaru.

It's actually produced some pretty interesting results. Although I can still see how it ultimately does relate to and show the 'pressures' we go through with the Online community across the Globe.

Here is the Chart I put together, and I will explain more underneath for those interested.

(It's a little large so everyone can see it clearly!!)

At first glance, you can see that the highest categories to score were 'Looks' & 'Health'.

I found this quite surprising really, but then I looked back on the questions I asked within those categories originally, and it all boils down to one thing:

Good ol' Peer Pressure.

There is no denying that the common phrases "GET IT RIGHT" or "YOU'RE DOING IT WROONNGGG!!11!" are in abundance throughout sites like 'Gyaru_Secrets' and on various forums etc.

As a Female-dominated community, we also have the general bitching about weight, our private lives and dressing Fugly.

This, with the stress of a lot of Western Gyaru being young ladies & gentleman lacking hard cash, this puts unwanted stress upon the individual trying to 'Make it Big' within the scene.

Not only that but even with today's Society in the printed and digital form, dieting is on the rampage like never before, with everyone trying to achieve this Pole-like frame so they can post their wares on Tumblr etc. :(

However I was pretty shocked at 'Style' being the lowest. But I did ask two questions about everyone's Wardrobe situation. Of course with exchange rates, different body shapes, different culture or even perhaps unwillingness/lack of knowledge(?) it seems that Gyaru on the whole isn't something that could be a predominant style over here. While most of you answered that when you dress Gyaru you have two styles within Gyaru-kei, the 2nd highest % went to that you wear other styles outside of Gyaru-kei.

'Fashion' and 'Beauty' seemingly went hand in hand with an average percentage, with the majority caring about their skin regime and keeping hot on the latest trends and popular brands. This is obviously a good thing, the highest two percentages coming in with Big-name Gyaru magazines and people reading those for Niche sub-styles. Instead of a few years ago, where everyone read Egg or Popteen, and was dressing either in Manba/Banba or copying RumiRingo and Kaoru's style - niche magazines like Es Poshh! and more recently, Vanilla Girl didn't stand a chance because of passing trends and the bigger names, well, getting bigger. I am really happy with these results. It's really nice to see Western Gyaru into different sub-styles or even copying a particular model's style.

All in All, I am proud of doing this, and seeing some really positive, and (hopefully) honest answers. It does give us an overall view on what Western Gyaru has for it's strong points and weak points too. If you're serious about the style, love the Lifestyle and enjoy working towards your goals, perhaps the Gyaru scene will change again - for the better in the West and I will conduct another Anket at the end of this year.

2012 off to a great start!

So all the fun began on the last day of my holiday in Lyme Regis with Alex.

We found "Pedocat" cereal in Tesco. I couldn't believe what a resemblance it was...

After meeting with the wonderful Lizzie on Friday, I saw my friend Katie who was back in England

from teaching in Kagoshima!

We went to a themed cafe in Brighton called 'Marwood Cafe'. It's like an 80s kids' room

with strange 'Tat' everywhere!

(pasty-Emilie!) lol

After a long walk we headed off to one of my favourite restaurants, 'Mr Noodle'. I ordered

some Pumpkin Croquettes, Seafood Ramen and a Bubble Tea for £9!! So cheap!

On Sunday I went to visit my papa to give him xmas pressies etc.

Then yesterday...

I GOT MAD TAN! Saw Alice in the morning at her work~ We sat behind the till and read Soul Sister lol.

I was off to London for a UK Gyaru meet. A few of us came along, and it was really enjoyable~! <3

I went for a Tsuyome look with some Soul Sister influences. First time my hair has worked out properly!

is my very sought-after Stitch dressed as Cpt. Jack Sparrow!

The last of the pins were baby Disney Princesses! so cute!

He also kindly bought me a Comprehensive guide to DisneyWorld 2012

- I cant wait to read this!!! *_* (I left it at his though lol)

Mum got me these lovely Disney cushions as well!

Permanent Straightening

Heya all!

So as some of you may know, I am getting Extensions next week!

In order for this all to go to plan and look awesome, I have had

my hair permanently straightened!

I went to Stage One salon in Brighton yesterday afternoon &

had it done by one of their lovely senior stylists.

The salon is really cute and modern, themed after a dressing room

as it is situated next door to the Backstage doors of the 'Theatre Royal'

in Brighton.

The process took 2 & 1/2 hours with a blowdry and head massage

and I can tell you it was well worth it. It's now just past the 24th hour

and It's pretty damned straight! I can't wait for tomorrow evening

to wash it and put on a hair mask to make my roots less frazzled :S

Haha - sorry I don't look my best - Just in my Ma*rs PJs lounging in bed!

The main bulk of my hair is still extremely soft, just the roots where I

recently bleached them feel like Shredded Wheat.... :'D

Been through the rain today with an umbrella and hat, I dont think any got on

my hair but I blow-dried it a little anyway when I got home.

Also received my NYX Candy Glitter Liner in the post today!

(not my photo - mine was rubbish!!)

It's a lot more watery than I expected, but wow it dries quickly

and leaves a good amount of glitter on your eyelid so I am pleased!

Bit of a shite picture but you can see it at least! ^^;;

I will be doing a Makeup tutorial finally this Saturday or Sunday

as I am getting tanned Friday night again! WOOOO.

I don't like being pasty any more ;___;

Seeing my lovely friends + the 1st week of freezing weather

I went to see my friends from Middlesbrough on Sunday up in London <3

The the night before I stayed over at my Dad's house and felt all

....Blegh....

I was still ill (still am a little) and started this horrible cough

even though I slept in an amazing bed! (TWO MATTRESSES!!)

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures whilst in London,

we were too busy nattering on about Musicals and our favourite performers!

They showed me this amazing shop behind Shaftsbury Ave. called

"Dress Circle". I managed to get this revival copy of the Tanz der Vampire

OST!!

WOOO!

Tomas Borchert is Krolock in this version as its the Wein revival,

but meh, it's better sound quality than my other recording I have on my laptop.

I also pre-ordered Jan Ammann's solo album from them... :D

I love him sooooo much! Such a beautiful and talented man!

If anyone else likes TDV or German Musicals, Or Takarazuka I'd love to know

which Musicals are your favourite and/or your fave performers!

We then ate at Pizza Hut, and took some purikura! I DO have these actually!

As you can guess by the pictures - it was our "friendiversary"!

ahh the purikura machine is sooo old now in London.

Makes me sad - the place should get new, WORKING ones.

We then parted ways :( and I went back home to attempt to get well.

It hasn't really worked. I keep on coughing so badly, I just need to get better

for my little holiday on the 23rd!

Today was a dress-down day for charity at work, so I decided to go all

bohemian-y n shit... lol

OH there is also this adorable cat that keeps following me home from work!

My Adventure into Erotica~!

Evening my lovely followers

To let people know, if they are uncomfortable with nudity (again)

this will be a partially NSFW post!

Erotica has been going for many years and I've always wanted

to attend it - unfortunately I was either too young or I forgot to go...

So I suggested going finally with Alex and we decided to attend the Saturday

as it was the busiest day.

We were there from 2:30pm until 9pm so we made a nice day out of it!

new flavour to get XD

And the Cherry one tastes like yoghurt.... :S

I also got this cute little leotard thing with fishnet stars cut-out

of it! I really want to wear it with a pair of shorts over the top

and then with stockings attached <3

Alex kindly took me for dinner at Zizzi's afterwards and we ordered some

really nice dishes.

Alex ordered the "Mezzo e Mezzo" pizza which was like TWICE THE SIZE

of him. But somehow he managed to clean the plate..... O_O;

I ordered the "linguini ai Gameri" pasta which was delicious! I love prawns.

We parted ways for the evening after that but when I got home...

My dress I ordered well over a MONTH ago arrived!! YAAY

I think it's really nice.

Anyway, I am so tired so I am off to bed now everyone. Hope you

1st Anniversary celebrations

AV Gyaru @ MCM Expo?!

Hey readers,

I got my weekend coverage for you with a good few shots!

So as I may have mentioned, I was working all of Expo this

past weekend for TokyoBookstore.com .

I was to be their "booth girl" as always :P

So on Friday morning, I got up super-early and after making sure

my new tan was okay, and curling my hair - I caught the train to London.

Friday I dressed like an AV Nurse! I saw a couple DVDs and really wanted

to use my MA*RS stuff and go OTT on it.

This was "my" half of the stalls, selling all the sex toys, badges and manning the Raffle.

(Looking at that picture of Moka - I really wish I had her boobs...)

I also ended up in this outfit on Sunday, but It didn't look as great :(

The Friday was pretty quiet for a convention, so that's why there were lots of photos taken.

Saturday was waaaaaaay busy though. I wore something a little more practical but still sexy.

I had seen these pictures

And found that someone was selling the same tutuHA top - so I jumped that sale and bought it.

Alex had ripped and distressed a pair of shorts I bought & lent me his gold Diavlo belt,

which was very nice of him,

and then I wore it with these huge-ass platforms that eventually just hurt. haha!

Over-all, it was a really fun, but super-tiring event to work at this time round.

I am really glad my work everyday at the gym had started to pay off, so I am

happy with these pictures now <3

Still looking to be my perfect measurements by Xmas of:

84-58-88cm so not really that long to go. I'm not going by weight this time,

as some muscle is a good thing. As long as I don't end up looking like

a right Powerhouse.

Two things I've learnt with this dark tan, is that I shouldn't highlight my nose,

as it looks huge! and the other being that my eyebrow powder wasn't dark enough LOL.

Tell me what you girlies & guys think, and I will improve as much as I can.

Cat-walking and New Nails

Evening all!

This weekend was absolutely killer~ <3

I went to visit one of my good friends as we were

going to go walk her cats on the beach!!

This is "Sushi"...

and that's me walking "Spooky"!

I tried to get a better pic of her here:

I also wanted to show you my outfit from last week!

I got a few new bits for winter and I love how comfy they all are!

On Sunday, I looked at the Autumn sales in Lipsy, and found

an awesome top!! Got it in a larger size so it was ruurrrl baggy

Paired it with my tutuha necklace, grey shorts + tights and then my new Primark booties.

I also did "Natsuhmi"'s makeup inm pink + Turquoise. It came out okay, but I look retarded

in the photos I took of it....

As you can probably see in the pictures there, I got a new nail set - FINALLY.

I really love them! Might make them a little more pointy for Expo though this weekend.

Styles I love

It has to be said; I think that one of my top

fashion goals is to look like Barbie.

Mainly for her face, always looking immaculate,

and having a "killer" body.

But also because she can be anything,

can strive to look her best in anything no matter

what time of year. I would love to accomplish that.

So, styles that really call out to me are:

Glam Barbie/Preppy style

Clueless and Legally Blonde are two of my most favourite films.

I really hoped that it would inspire more fashion to be

replicating Barbie-esque clothes. Alas, I haven't seen this

everywhere, and have to really search for bits outside of Japan.

Rokku-kei

No matter whether it's on Girls or Guys, I love this style, and
the people who can pull it off correctly.
Now with Ora-ora style making it's uproar in the Gyaru community,
It may be that Rokku-kei is waning. I just freaking love the hair
and accessories though!!! RAWR. (and makeup...)

Ero-kawa/Pheremone-Kei/The AV girl look(s)

Lots of examples there to show you the styles. Obviously, from above
you can see I favour being very tanned. I think this is a complex
because I am naturally so pale LOL.
For Ero-kawa, I see a lot of D.I.A, Lip Service, MA*RS, GOLDS∞ and more
recently - tutuHA.
Ero-kawa in general is how it sounds - "Erotic" & "Cute".
MA*RS would be an "Ero-kawa" brand. Golds Infinity are more
Psyche, Pheremone-kei in general, but definitely the Ero-kawa element
is there in most of their items. D.I.A and tutuHa are one in their
own, but they stand out with their very sexy items.

I have no excuse apart from I guess, of just

Super-fun Saturday!!

I was going to upload this from my phone

then realised I can't position the pictures...

Saturday was cool, I made a little meet-up thing that gave tips

to people interested in Gyaru and/or just improving their makeup skills!

Unfortunately I will have to get the final results of the makeovers I did

from my friend's camera as the iphone pictures I took were pretty awful...

After a few hours of contouring and eyelash-applying (lulz) we went to the

Vietnamese restraunt, "Pho" in the South Lanes for some dinner

As Doudou and I hadn't eaten all day - BOO.

Had some awesome chilli noodle soup dish with some of the best

Beer I've tasted!

First of all, I must apologise for not keeping you entertained

over the last week and weekend.

But there is some good news behind that!

I HAVE BEEN WORKING OUT YAY!

I joined the gym two weeks ago, and have made a promise

for this week to go every day.

I am ignoring the scales, because I want to build a few bits of

muscle here and there, but I am keeping a measurements + Tanning diary from

now until MCM Expo (28th Oct!)

I am at the moment:

Bust: 84cm

Waist: 61cm

Hips: 92cm

Thighs: 53cm

Upper Arms: 27cm

(lol why wont my lower-body just dissapear :( )

Anywho, didn't get to film eyebrows at Alex's so I will do it tonight!

Evening Gals!

Alice and I went to town on Monday morning, when Katia had hit

Brighton. Obviously, we had to face the Gale in Gal, head-on!

Our hair wasn't all that bad after the horrible wind & rain!

I gawt some Cawfeee

and pancakes, but we like...hoovered them up. :(

Getting prepared for Winter

I think everybody knows that Japan has slightly different temperatures

in Winter than Europe and the rest of the Western World.

(Both in mid-December)

Even though this could be levelled out by their higher Summer temperatures,

we are still freezing and trying to look good.

This Winter sees quite a few Gal brands styling after Western fashion,

which places the ball in our court, but for certain brands that

haven't conformed to one trend this season, taking select "Winter

Pieces" that you can be versatile with as well as 'jazz up' will

be very useful.

To make yourself warmer without losing any style try wearing a thermal bandeau under your top or dress,
so that it wont show up even under spaghetti straps.

For your legs, thick tights generally aren't so sexy, so why not try

circulation-boosting tights that will keep you warm by making your blood pump faster!
These usually come in many Denier and in the usual

Black and beige colours. But they look like normal tights more than

anything so they are really handy. If you are still cold, over-

knee socks are always in. This A/W11 try rustic and bold colours to

suit the season's theme.

Fine knit scarves that won't look too bulky are fantastic; try different

knot with your outfits and get a few patterns or block colours
to suit your wardrobe?

If you are unable to buy a "brand" coat this Winter check out
well known Gal-friendly stores that are available in the west such as:
River Island, Lipsy, Forever21, Urban Outfitters and H&M.

Don't forget to check Ebay and Etsy for additional fur collars etc you

can use to make your style unique!

How to be a MA＊RS-Gal: Keywords & Thoughts

Hey guys! I have been saving this blog for a while now,

and since recently, I see that my newer followers seem to have

a lot of MA*RS backgrounds, that I should probably write this XD

THE AESTHETICS

①A curvy body is a woman's prized possession

②Wear bust-enticing tops

③Down your back, must always be a line of 'Feminine Attraction'.

④ Emphasise your hipline

⑤Display the long line of your beautiful legs

⑥Have the best sparkling & gorgeous neckline

⑦High-heels are one of the best aesthetics.

So, once you follow all of these things, you can be accepted into

their secret club ;D

On a serious side, following a particular brand can be great, but also pretty difficult

if you are in a foreign country. I will give some examples of girls I have found who are

Mars-a-holics as it were, but obv. they are all in Japan.

I know that in the Lolita scene, lots of girls follow one particular brand. But

the stories (and amounts of money @_@) I have heard with bad endings

isn't worth it, especially if you are constantly just spending your wages on pre-orders.

If you are really set on following one brand - just be prepared for hardship,

customs charges if they notice you are importing lots of packages from one place,

perhaps neglecting other important things in your life, and then having a wardrobe

chock-a-block full of one colour-way. (Not all the time, but most Gal brands often have set themes)

MA*RS Girls in Japan

One of my favourite, and most dedicated MA*RS Girls I found on Pupe.

She has two blogs where you can see her amazingly complete collection here & here.

Her name is Erina.

A person I have found recently, is Alice. She puts up quite a few outfits, but

she puts some entries as Friends-only. haha she's adorable though.

Last person is Tomo-hime. I really love her blog, and omg, her Chihuahua

is soooo cute!!! >w<

She posts a lot about food as well, so if you are into food-blogging, its a good one to look at!

My Thoughts

I Adore MA*RS. To absolute pieces. But I dont think or know if I could

have a purely-MA*RS wardrobe. I really like variety, and dressing up-

so I enjoy having different styles in my wardrobe. Some of MA*RS' accessories

are a tad over-priced for the quality, but overall I am definitely satisfied with the brand,

and will always buy from them. My only wish is that my feet get smaller so I can buy

their shoes! haha.

I honestly want to hear back from my lovely readers who like MA*RS, or

that follow a particular brand, how they feel about it, and what their pro's & con's are.

Also, can anyone else think of other Gyaru brands that have Key-words to follow?

I'd love to find out and know about it! It's really interesting to me.

AV Gyaru magazines

So this post I am making, just for anyone out of interest.

I help my boyfriend with his Japanese Porn Company

(they sell Hentai Doujinshi, Male sex toys, Artbooks, Badges, and now AV magazines)

and this was the main reason I went back to Tokyo this summer.

I know quite a few western Gals admire or just like looking at these

Kuro-gyaru AV girls (Including myself) and I wanted to show you

some of the magazines they show up in!

I bought these two just from regular Combini stores.

(Newdays & Lawson)

Tokyo Gals Collection

Is a small-sized but absolutely packed magazine! It contains a lot of the

KIRA☆KIRA actresses and has quite a bit of promotion for them too.

What I found completely awesome was that you get TWO DVDS!

On which, some scenes were in full - so it's definitely worth the £4.20

I paid for it.

The photography is really clear, and the censoring isn't that bad.

It's all in white, but it's "clean-cut".

Kokoa here in that bloody nice bra! I want one XD

A cool Article/interview with guys, on Types of Sexy Gyaru! haha!

I absolutely prefer this magazine. The layout and Gals featured are really cool

and they even have a halarious - Readers' Corner... that's right -

Every month, a couple can write in, and then you get to star in the magazine

doing dirty things with your lover. HAHA. it's brilliant.

Kyaba Gyaru!

This magazine is a little bigger than T.G.C and a lot more expensive.

(£6.20) - I think mainly this is to do with the glossy pages and larger format.

However I didn't feel the content was as good. :(

Cocona (Now, Serina) was featured on the front! yay, this is why I got it, lol.

Her face isn't that sexy here, haha, but I needed to make the picture SFW XD

Reo in her awesome D.I.A outfit!

But as you can see in the top-left, the censoring looks like someone attacked the

pictures in MS Paint... the shapes are pretty amusing though.

A normally-Kyaba-gyaru Actress gets picked for a

"Bukkake Festival" - oh, how lucky!

The most disappointing of this magazine, is that it only came with ONE DVD

compared to T.G.C (mostly highlights, too D: ), and there also was a huge Black&White section

in the middle. The phototography was pretty high-contrast as well.

But it was the same thickness as T.G.C so I guess that extra

odd 200yen is the amount of extra paper.

These were both the August 2011 editions. If anyone wants me to scan them

or upload the DVDs just say so in the comments and I will try my best.

I Want Cute.com Lens Review: Super Crystal Pink & Flower Plum Brown

So I want to thank my new readers that I have noticed recently,

I hope you enjoy this little review.

I ordered the two pairs last Monday night, and asked a few

questions, directly, to the lovely shop owner through their

"live chat" system. Brilliant idea!

Everything was processed by Tuesday morning and they arrived

on Thursday! Such fast arrival and excellent service.

nicely packaged, lol at all the stamps O_O;

Inside the larger packet, was a flyer for the website and this smaller packet!

(I also got a little free cake charm, but I haven't got a pic for it D: )

and obviously, Inside were my lovely contact lenses.

They look so pretty!

The wear of them

Slightly odd-looking photo, but here is the pink on the Left,

with the brown on the right.

The pink is slightly larger, but both I give 5/5 for enlargening effect.

I wore the brown lenses all day today, and they are super comfortable.

Only when it hit 8pm today did my eyes get dry.

The pink ones I need to wear for a day, definitely. When I tried it on though,

there was only the slightest bit of discomfort, I think, because they were bigger

to what I was used to wearing.

Overall

I think I will be ordering and pre-ordering from them

from now on! Fantastic service and products.

My Gal Birthday Party + Gets!

Morning~

I should finally post about my party that was held on Saturday...

Alex, Dom, Fran and I met at 12 in Victoria station

and headed out to Picadilly - it was pretty bloody warm

for a weather forecast that was apparently going to be "rain".

Unexpectedly, we also met this awesome guy called Toby at the station,

who was interested in becomming Gyaruo! So I invited him along to my

party to get to know people, and also, uncannily, we had the same birthday!

Anyway, everyone was all dolled up and we waited for Chris to arrive.

And as usual, It just happened that a GIANT CROWD of Japanese

students (like, Uni students) all flocked past us, staring and smiling, and some

in mild shock lol.

Then we went to Costa to chat and get some noms

Then we met up with Toby again and my other friend Alex, we went to do

some Purikura. Ahh the ONE machine of London...

from Brighton and headed to Wagamama for dinner!

highly recommend it. Really good Mattifying strength, nice colour choices

and a little goes a long way, and I never end up shiny unless I am

running for miles :'D

As for which Eyelashes I use, I love the

Jewerich P-2 or D.Lash Glamorous Eye on top

and then D.Lash Baby Eye or Charming Eye on bottom

I wanted to pick up a pair of "Gurigu-lash" in SBY, but

they were really expensive for how many you got. :(

Sakurina Monochrome Makeup Tutorial (adapting Japanese makeup to western eyes)

Afternoon Readers

I have a makeup tutorial for you today!

(I am gonna apologise for these slightly low-quality pictures

but they were taken with the inside camera of my iPhone

mostly so I could see how much of a fool I looked like.)

I will show you one way here, of adapting Japanese makeup

onto Western Eyeshapes so it will still look like in the pictures.

So let's get on with it!

First, choose what makeup you want to do

I am doing this cute monochrome look by Sakurina

Now, Sakurina aims for a Almond-shaped eye usually with her

eye makeup-drop, which in general is the desired Western shape.

Therefore, it's very easy to adapt to Western eyes!

Choose your lashes after evaluating the picture

mmm, I left the glue on. lol. Please carefully remove

any extra glue on your lash rim before putting them on your eyes.

My top lashes I am using Jewrich's P-2 megumi lashes

and on bottom two pairs of Diamond Lash: Charming & Baby eye.

Apply base makeup, and contour your face

me, without my eyes 'did. To complete the look,

i've drawn on flatter eyebrows than normal.

Sakurina highlights around her eyes, and in a curving T-shape

from her forehead down her nose. I used

Shu Uemura's 'Face Powder Sheer' in 'Pearl'.

My normal Powder is 'Love & Peace' powder in Natural Matte beige #2

Now, For the eyeshadow

I'm using that Claire's Accessories Jill Stuart rip-off!

place a medium silver/metal tone all over your eye

and a little in the inner corner underneath, too.

(If you have a rounded or unusually high eyebrow, please

stop the colour where your nose finishes at the top.)

Draw two curved lines until they meet at the edge in the black colour

like shown, then gradually, add a little more colour and bring it across

a little over 1/2 of your eye.

blend up into your crease to create a slight "hooded" effect.

To find your crease, open your eye slightly, then with your

brush or sponge-tip, push gently just under your brow-bone

and follow that curved line! Blend as needed

It should all look like this

Eyeliner is next for the top lid

To make this easier, draw a curved line about 2-3mm thick

until it just curves down slightly past your lower lid.

Make sure the line DOESN'T start at the very inner corner

of your eye, but just above where your whites start as shown.

Bottom Eyeshadow

Then starting from the inner corner of your bottom lid,

with an angled tip/brush, draw a 5mm thick shadow-line

that curves down to reach the end of that eyeliner extension.

You should have a MINIMAL GAP. between the shadow and your eye.

Unless you have a completely rounded eye-shape, this is crucial!

Then without making the outer corners meet

draw a thin eyeliner line on the bottom as shown. You can always zoom in

on this picture!

Your eyes should look a little strange at the moment, but trust me, it will

work once the lashes are on!

Add a coat of mascara to the TOP lashes, then...

put on your lashes! Top ones on first, making sure

they follow the eyeliner from it's starting point and curving down.

Bottom ones for this makeup, should follow the bottom eyeliner,

but not be put so far out to the edge! Put them a little closer towards

your tear ducts.

Then go on the second pair for effect!

I've popped mine on with tweezers as it got a little tricky,

but place these at the ends, underneath the other bottom pair!

so it should make the outer corner of the other lashes a little more

dense and to spice it up a bit!

Then add finishing touches you think you are missing

I added a little more eyeliner to the inner corner of my top lid

to co-inside with Sakurina's makeup, and unfortunately I deleted the picture

but I added a little upwards "flick" of eyeliner on the outer lower lash.

Shit, I wish I kept it, it showed the makeup really well from the side.... :(

See how the makeup keeps Sakurina's shape, without losing the shape

or looking too large on a western eye.

hey everyone!!

Well today is my second day in Japan,

and don't worry, I am going to be posting pictures later on today.

I managed to go to 109 and 109-MENS with the boys,

and that was lovely. after not being there for 3 years, i feel like i'm home.

(kinda worrying but England is arggh frustrating)

But I do have a little suprise!

I am hosting my first giveaway as

i'm really happy to be back in Japan and

obviously It will be Gyaru-themed, but so far, I've picked up

Sunburn and Recent Gets

Hey everyone~!
A few days ago, the lovely Katie posted about NYX Creme Glitter shadows.
I knew about the brand but was excited that it was available in the UK!
You can order from their English Website or by going into your local
Urban Outfitters store. I was hanging out with one of my best friends Popi
on Tuesday and we bought this lovely tanning moisturiser from Dove.
I am using it along with my regular tanning and already it's really proving
to be awesome. And it doesn't smell bad either! we got the darker skinned
one as it shows up more. :)

Popi kindly bought the NYX glitter for me as a little present, and lunch!
I'm so lucky :O Urban Outfitters had them on sale at £4 each so it was awesome!
I will be sure to buy more of their products in Japan.
Speaking of which, it's only just hit me that it is NEXT WEEK. (Well, Monday 11th,
but I go to LFCC next weekend and Tokyobookstore isn't sleeping on the Sunday)
If you are going to LFCC, please come along to our stall and say hello! We
sell Doujinshi and sex toys, lol.

On Monday I was hanging out with some of my Japanese friends on
the beach, and even though we all had fun, nearly everyone got sunburn.
mine is really raw - probably because I made the stupid mistake of

Evening everyone~

So lovely and warm today, I am sad I didn't get out that much.

I want to show you guys the main things I want when I go to Tokyo

Nail Appointments, Jobs & Japan

Evening all~

So yesterday I had a really adventurous day!

I went into Brighton, Had a successful job interview, booked my nail appointment,

went for a tan and put up items for sale!

For my set of nails, I am getting a MA*RS themed set!

Of course I will post about it. There is no doubting that at all lol.

Tanning went well, I am going to buy a pack of minutes to use up before Japan in 3 weeks

I already tanned a little! *0* super rare for me, I haven't tanned in a good 5 years!

this is finally changing *tears of joy*

Right, so the big thing coming up is my July trip to Japan.

I have been in a pickle for this trip as I got fired from a job

at COMPLETELY THE WRONG TIME.

so I am trying to sell everything bar my soul to get money,

and working as a waitress (only for 1 day a week though.. sigh)

Well - If I super-doll-up on saturday, which also happens to be

"International Gyaru Day", maybe I will earn more tips than usual! hooray!!

I am up because I have spent a few hours looking for physical shops that sell cosmetic contact lenses in Tokyo.

I know, I know - there are loads, but I just wanted to whittle down some of them to how much stock they carry etc.

Thrilling, eh?

I also did a little estimate quote on getting a full Mori-Nail set at either Carry or Crea...I did not like the £145-180 price tag whatsoever. If I was earning in Yen then maybe that 13,000-22,000 円 wouldn't be so much.

So, I've decided to get them done at Chou Chou Nails again, Tina is lovely and will make it an art piece, lol.

I'm going with a MA*RS theme as their colours are very lovely, and it should match (most) of my purchases on holiday. I am estimating a £80 price tag, which isn't that bad. I will try to provide as many stones etc as possible to cut costs. haha aahrrhhh i am cheap. ;__; But at the moment, I have to be.

Tanning tomorrow when I wake up!! I can't wait.

Morning Internet!

Right so, I thought it would be nice to update today~

Alex has gone to work, and so I am at his house...

~~FOREVER~~ ALL ALONE.

I did Alice's nails on Tuesday!

They are only the 2nd full set I've completed, so I was

very happy with the results! \(^w^)/

But of course I need to improve, still.

Apart from that, Japan is in 3 weeks! (which I am happy for)

X_X; but I still don't have a regular job, Which sucks.

I honestly hope I have this fantastic stroke of luck,

so I can have a good amount of spending money.

I'm aiming for £1k, which to some may seem like a lot,

but tbh, the 円>£ ratio isn't in our favour at the moment,

and I have sold a hell of a lot to be able to go.

Just need that miracle!! D:

4 hours in total, I will obviously have to get faster.

But apart from the slight milkiness to the (What was supposed to be) clear parts

I think they have come out quite nicely!

My right hand is a lot nicer as I am left-handed.

A New Beginning

Welcome to my new Blog!

I am going to try my hardest to actually keep this going regularly.

I have ~~kinda~~ failed in the past with that so here's to this one!

Right, now onto some cool topic which I always find interesting:

Western companies copying Eastern ones

So most of you reading this will know of, or like the designer

Jill Stuart

I really love some of her clothes and ADORE the packaging

and actual make-up products that she produces. But I've

always been torn at the price; As I earn my wages in GBP,

An eyeshadow palette of hers will cost more than Chanel charge

so at around £50 a pop, there's no doubt in saying i've been

reluctant on purchasing her goods.

But, to my surprise as I was moseying around town with Alice

yesterday.... I came across this delightful treasure in

Claire's Accessories:

.... It's basically a direct rip-off of Jill Stuart's "Illuminance Eyes"

Shadow Quad she produces.

The only difference is that to make it the humble £5 I paid at Claire's

there is no double mirror on the inside of the lid and the pattern on top is

slightly different. Even the applicator is freakishly similar!

Anyway. Grab this at Claire's Accessories while you can,

They have it in two shades. The purple one I got and a pink version

(which is actually one of the colour-combos from J.S!).
